Biography

Jelena Bulajić was born on 23rd December 1998, in Podgorica. She is deeply committed to legal studies, European values, and youth empowerment. Her academic journey began at the Faculty of Law, University of Montenegro, where she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Legal Sciences. In pursuit of further professional development in European Union law, she enrolled in the Master’s program in European Legal Studies at the Faculty of Law, University of Maribor, Slovenia. During her master’s studies, as part of the Erasmus exchange program, she had the opportunity to spend one semester at the prestigious Vrije University in Brussels. This experience significantly contributed to her academic and professional growth, as well as to her understanding of multicultural values and life in the heart of the European Union. Her academic journey culminated in obtaining a Master’s degree and a master thesis focused on Montenegro’s European integration process as a Western Balkans country, which demonstrated her strong commitment to Montenegro’s European perspective and her contribution to the reform processes along that path. She began her professional career as a Legal Intern at the Rectorate of the University of Montenegro, within the Center for Quality Improvement. She is currently working as a Notary Associate in a reputable notary office in Podgorica. These positions have allowed her to develop advanced skills in legal research and intercultural communication. Throughout her academic and professional path, Jelena has actively participated in numerous high-level seminars and conferences addressing contemporary social and legal issues. These experiences have strengthened her ability to analyze complex public policy topics, engage in constructive discussions, and advocate for innovative solutions. In December 2024, she was selected as a Young European Ambassador of Montenegro within the regional WeBalkans program. Through this role, she actively contributes to the promotion of European values, international cooperation, and human rights, with the aim of empowering young people to actively participate in building a shared European future.
